This ministry operates on capacity-based contribution.
Crisis preparedness requires actual infrastructure, not insurance policies.
The Grounds is distributed sanctuary exclusively for contributing members and their families during climate, economic, or societal disruption.
Membership pathways based on your capacity to contribute:

THE VALUE OF GROUNDS MEMBERSHIP IS UNPRECEDENTED - HERE'S WHAT'S PROVIDED WHEN CRISIS HITS:
When the hurricane knocks out power for two weeks. When floods contaminate the water supply or backup the municipal sewer system into your house. When you can't get home. When you need somewhere safe to go - you go to The Grounds.
No evacuation required - Stay local instead of spending $3K-$8K on hotels, gas, meals, risk of travel/accidents, lost work time, and the chaos of displacement with kids and pets
Large animal arrangements - Horses and livestock accommodated through nearby partnerships when boarding facilities close or flood (per-animal fees apply, arranged in advance - members have priority access)
Safe place for your family and children - Secure shelter when home isn't safe
Undisrupted electrical power - Lights, HVAC, refrigerated medications, medical equipment, devices stay charged
Undisrupted potable water - Clean water for drinking, cooking, hygiene when other conventional systems become unreliable
Undisrupted communications - Call your family, let them know you're okay, run your remote business, attend critical meetings remotely
Reliable internet connectivity - Work deadlines don't stop for hurricanes or service outages; stay productive when others are offline
Real food daily - Nutritious meals prepared fresh, not 25-year stored rations that taste like cardboard
Hot showers - Actual hygiene and comfort when everyone else is wiping down with baby wipes
School continuity for kids - Internet for remote learning when public/private schools are closed, dedicated homeschool space for families teaching their own
Multi-generational community - Kids have other kids, adults have other adults, elders are cared for
NON-CRISIS FACILITY ACCESS:
When conventional systems are stable, Grounds locations serve as fellowship AND member retreat centers:
Discounted member rates for vacation/retreat stays
Multi-generational gathering space
Skills workshops and capacity expansion education
Remote work retreats
IN-PERSON TACTICAL MEETINGS:
Grounds Members meet monthly in-person (Golden Isles, GA area) for pre-construction tactical work:
When: First Saturday of each month, 9:00am
Where: Regular breakfast spot (location shared upon membership)
Duration: 90 minutes (counts as 1.5 hours toward annual 120-hour commitment)
Focus: Land acquisition progress, member cultivation, contractor relationships, permitting navigation, Founding Member Networking
Physical presence required. This is ground-game work building the first location. Virtual attendance available only by exception (traveling, emergency).
Coffee, breakfast, tactical problem-solving. Members who show up here are the ones building what gets built.

3. FOUNDING MEMBER ($15K/year + multi-Field contribution)
Everything Grounds Household membership includes AND
Perpetual name recognition in Grounds project commemoration
Monthly strategic development meetings - Shape how The Grounds serves members beyond crisis events - facilities optimized for emergencies, but versatile design to accommodate hospitality, special events, skills workshops, and year-round member benefit
Strategic input welcome on other Grounds location priorities - domestic is priority, but international expansion is in scope, such as Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean)
Leadership capacity development through stewardship and strategic contribution
240 hours/year multi-Field contribution, see below for description (20 hours/month average)
3-5 year commitment
Founding Members receive (10) complimentary hospitality nights annually plus enhanced network crisis access: 3 emergency events per year at non-home Grounds locations (14 days per event, as network gets built)
BE A PART OF BUILDING SOMETHING THAT'S NEVER EXISTED
The Grounds, located within in the Golden Isles of GA is the first location. It doesn't exist yet - we're building it together.
Timeline reality:
12-18 months to meaningful construction start
Land acquisition, permitting, contractor coordination through existing systems
First location is hardest - proves the model, establishes supplier relationships, trains first stewards
Each subsequent location gets exponentially faster (standardized specs, known processes, proven architecture)
You're joining to BUILD, not to access finished product.
Monthly subscriptions maintain flexibility during proof-of-concept phase. Spring 2026 evaluation checkpoint will assess whether the model has reached critical mass. Transparent communication throughout - you're building this in collaboration with SSI's larger mission, not buying finished product.
Grounds Members and Founding Members are the builders who prove collapse is optional. Once the first project demonstrates the architecture works and publicity mounts, scale-out will accelerate.
Early members = founding the model that replicates everywhere.
MULTI-FIELD CONTRIBUTION (for Grounds Members & Founding Members):
This is a working fellowship. We build actual structure for personal capacity expansion, member benefit and unique value creation within communities.
We don't show up to feel better and share feelings.
We're not here to be nice - we're here to be honest and authentic.
What you say and what you do is what builds infrastructure.
Infrastructure builds your capacity - mutual consideration in action.
Your contribution beyond membership financial contribution spans the Nine Fields according to your capacity:
Financial Resources - Capital that builds The Grounds projects and supports ongoing operations
Physical Capacity - Construction, maintenance, hands-on building
Technical Skills - Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, engineering, design, food production, septic, solar
Emergency Services - CPR, first aid and medical response
Time & Participation - Show up, work, transfer skills
Network & Connections - Multi-generation collaboration, partnerships
Materials & Equipment - Land, buildings, tools, supplies
Knowledge Transfer - Teaching that multiplies capability
Creative Contribution - Problem-solving, innovation
Intellectual Contribution - Research, documentation, systems development
Nine Fields means no excuses, no assumptions, only proper expectation setting. Everyone contributes according to actual capacity, not claimed limitation.
None of us arrives perfect. We focus on our gifts, acknowledge our blind spots, and offer perspective that helps others see what they can't. Continuous improvement through mutual consideration.
Participation visible - who shows up, who builds, who contributes. Specific hours and contributions remain private.
Self-interest made visible. Consideration demonstrated through what gets built.
